Surely, Surely

I Peter 1:15-25

Eternal and All Wise God our Savior, Surely, Surely, you are the God of all comfort and grace. Unquestionably, the mercy of the Lord endures forever. We will say of you Oh Lord, Our Strength and Our Redeemer, surely you are the joy and peace of our life.  Your goodness and mercy have always been with us.  We owe you true worship and praise.  The benefits of our salvation cannot be compared to silver or gold.  You are eternal in nature and nothing corruptible is worthy of comparison.  Even our redemption was with the eternal blood of Christ and not with corruptible things such as silver and gold.  What a wonder and glory you are to our very life.  We live because you are living in us.  

 

When we think about your goodness and all that you have done for us, our soul cries out in reverence all praise and honor to you.  Surely we have been restored to the dayspring from on high.  We have sure waters to drink from and the sure mercies of David to walk in.  Thank you Lord for such glory and power.

 

Surely without fail we shall pursue, overtake, and recover all that Christ has conquered for us today.  Father, the spoils of Christ victory over Satan await our possession of them.    Surely, we have inherited Christ’s Victory over Satan.  We boldly move forward in that victory today in the Name of Jesus.

 

Surely if while we were sinners Christ died for us, much more now by his life in us  we are more than conquerors through him.  Father help us now to pursue with a passion those things that remain for our possession.
