THE ALTAR OF PRAYER

Matthew 26:36-46 And Matthew 26:53-54 And Matthew 15: 7-9

Our Father, in the name of Jesus, the depth of our meeting with you in prayer is beyond the veil of the flesh.  Our spirit is connected to life in Christ.  WE are taught to perceive you in spirit and in truth.  We are ready to give you an acceptable offering at the altar of prayer.  We lay ourselves down before you and ask for your mercy and grace to help us bring before you a meaningful offering of sacrifice and praise.  You are worthy, Oh Lord , to receive glory, honor, and praise.   Father, we want our life in Christ to be a reflection of your glory in the Kingdom.

 

Father, because you gave us such a wonderful meaningful offering to release us from the power of darkness, we want to give back to you praise that reflect our hearts’ understanding of the sacrifice Christ made for us.  We want to give you “heart-felt” thanks at the altar of sacrifice.  We don’t want to offer strange fire from the same place our hearts should be reflecting the peace, love, and power that you have given us in Christ. We bring no other “god” to the altar.  We bring to you today single-hearted praise.  We renounce the hidden things of darkness.  You are the only living God.  We rest in you with continuous panting desires of wanting you more and more in all we say and do. Father, just be the Father in us, your children, as we meet with you at the altar of prayer.

 

Your Kindness is so immeasurably great towards us.  We give you praise now and always.
